Top Professional Skin Care Products - What Makes Them So Special?

What makes the top professional skin care products so special? Here is a hint: It isn't the proven benefits that make it a "top professional product" for your skin.
For comparison, please allow me to ask you a question:
What makes a top professional tennis player?
Please don't get annoyed. Let me make my point. The answer is simple: What makes a top professional tennis player is a proven record. Pro players are ranked by a system, and like any other human system it may not be perfect, but no one questions that proven performance is the yardstick. To be a top-ranked pro, a tennis player requires a great winning record.
Unfortunately, this isn't true in skin care. For a product to make it onto the shelves of professional beauticians and high-priced spas, it has to fulfill just two requirements:
1. It cannot be available in your local stores or on the Internet -- so that it will make people feel it is "exclusive" to professionals.
2. It has to be expensive, because both the manufacturer and the beauty industry professionals have to sell it at a high profit, or it won't be worth their while. (Remember, they've given up mass marketing in order to be "exclusive.")
That's it. There are no other requirements for the "top professional skin care products."
You can't buy the product elsewhere and it costs a small fortune. Therefore, it must be the best, right?
Wrong, wrong, wrong. But they're betting you'll think so.
Personally, I'll gladly pay a reasonable price for a product packed with ingredients that have been clinically tested and proven to make a real, significant improvement in skin care and skin health.
